Katia Kozachok (she/they) has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota concentrating in Psychology and Public Health. She has volunteered and worked in a variety of health-related labs over her time in undergrad, primarily focusing on adolescent depression and self-harm and young adults' coping with symptoms and side effects from cancer and its treatments.

In addition, they have spent time volunteering as a crisis counselor and working in residential treatment for adults with mental health issues, providing psychoeducation, skills coaching, and active listening. As a full-time Research Assistant on the SMART2 study under Dr. Jamie Zelazny, she is looking forward to working on developing the landscape of adolescent suicidality and collaborating on an interdisciplinary team. Outside of work, they enjoy hiking, baking, and wandering around Pittsburgh.
